Dr. Peter Horn

Prof. Dr. Peter Horn, born in Erfurt, Germany, is a distinguished neurosurgeon with extensive academic and clinical experience. He completed his medical studies in Moscow, Jena, and London, focusing on neuropsychophysiology. He earned his MD in 1996 and later obtained a PhD with a focus on rare neurovascular disease.  Prof. Horn has held several high-profile positions in Germany, including as Senior Consultant at Charité University in Berlin and Head of the Neurosurgery Department at Helios HSK Wiesbaden. Prof. Horn transitioned into strategic healthcare consulting at EY Parthenon from 2019 to 2021, working on digital health solutions, ecosystem designs, and organizational innovation-based transformation. Since 2021, he has been Executive Director for Clinical and Service Development at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar, where he oversees innovative healthcare service strategy, business model development, and performance monitoring. In academia, Prof. Horn has published over 60 scientific papers, contributed to 10 book chapters, and delivered over 100 presentations. He speaks German, English, and Russian and holds an extraordinary professorship at the University of Mainz.
