Andrés is a dedicated nursing professional with a passion for improving global health systems. He currently practices at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona, a leading European healthcare institution, while also engaging in research projects aimed at enhancing healthcare systems. In 2022, he began representing the Nursing Now Challenge in the European Region, advocating for the empowerment of young nurses and midwives worldwide. This role led him to participate in the 76th World Health Assembly in Geneva in 2023, where he, along with other nurses and midwives, contributed to critical discussions on global health challenges. Since then, Andrés completed a master’s degree in research Methodologies from the University of Barcelona and is currently pursuing a PhD at the same institution. His research interests focus on workforce management and public and global health policies. His experience in Geneva inspired him to advocate for stronger nursing leadership on both national and international levels, leading him to collaborate with several universities, the Health Department of the Catalan government, the World Health Organization, and the World Innovation Summit for Health.
