“iCommunicate” in Qatar, a multicultural country, majority of the nurses are from the Philippines or India and very few from the Arab countries, which cases language barriers between the Arabic-speaking patients and healthcare workers. iCommunicate has created visual cards (with pictures) with Arabic and English words. These cards will be available for both health care providers and patients. Using these cards, patients will be able to communicate with the healthcare worker to fulfill their basic needs such as ask for food or bath and report pain etc.
