Partnership Focuses On Creating And Disseminating Innovative Solutions To Enhance Patient Experience

Doha, Qatar, 11 May 2015 – World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), a global initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), has partnered with Royal Philips, a diversified health and well-being company, to improve the lives of people through meaningful innovation.

As part of WISH’s continued efforts to inspire and diffuse healthcare innovation and best practice, the partnership supports the vision and mission of Qatar Foundation to drive innovation and serve to underscore Qatar’s pioneering role as an emerging centre for healthcare innovation.

Philips recently delivered two projects to leading healthcare providers in Qatar that focuses on improving all aspects of the patient and staff experience. Philips has a unique approach to rapid innovation that uses empathy-mapping and co-creation to ensure that the practical and emotional needs of patients and staff are at the heart of the health service and facility design.
Commenting on the association, Mr Egbert Schillings, CEO of WISH, said: “As a proud initiative of QF, WISH is committed to disseminating healthcare innovation and best practice through our community of like-minded leaders and policymakers, for the benefit of the Qatari population.
