Building an Inclusive Evidence Base and Action for Women and Girls in Sport

This high-level closed roundtable examines how Qatar can help correct a major blind spot in global sports science and women’s health: the limited inclusion of women, particularly ethnically diverse women and those living in hot climates, in the evidence base informing physical activity, sport, prevention, performance and healthcare. It brings together policymakers, researchers, clinicians, sport leaders, athletes and industry partners to identify where evidence is weakest, what research Qatar is well placed to lead, and how that evidence can be translated into practical policy — securing concrete follow-up: an HBKU-led research agenda, a cross-sectoral action group and a pathway toward visible commitments by National Sport Day 2027 and WISH9.
