WISH has held five summits since its inception: in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018 and most recently in 2020. Last year’s summit took place on November 13th and 14th, 2020. Previous summits have brought together more than 1,000 global leaders. Delegates have included healthcare experts from in excess of 100 countries, more than 50 ministries of health that between them oversee healthcare policy for more than 2 billion people, and representatives of major international organizations such as the United Nations, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Carter Center, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the European Union.
