Dr. Hisham M. Sabir

Dr. Sabir graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1981. He then worked as a researcher for the Renewable Energy Research Institute (RERI), in his home country Sudan, between 1982 and 1989. In 1986, and while working for RERI, Dr Sabir obtained his MSc degree in Renewable Energy Technology, jointly from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, and the University of New Mexico, USA. In 1989, Dr Sabir started his PhD studies at King’s College London where he obtained his doctorate degree in the field of Thermodynamics in 1993. Between 1994 and 2009, Dr Sabir worked at Sheffield, Nottingham and Kingston Universities, UK, as a researcher and academic, where he taught and conducted research in the field of Thermodynamics and applied energy. In 2010, Dr Sabir Moved to Qatar to join the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), first as a Program Manager, then a Director Technical and finally as Executive Director for the Scientific Research Programs Office, at QRDI.
During his academic career, Dr sabir was an active researcher and has published several articles in the field of applied energy.
