Since its inception in 2012, the World Innovation Summit for Health, WISH, has brought together leaders from the global community of healthcare, policymaking, innovation and care provision to tackle some of the world’s most urgent healthcare challenges.  In recent years and in light of the pandemic, it has become increasingly clear that nurses play an essential role in the healthcare ecosystem and need to be more actively involved in research and policymaking if we are to meet these challenges.

In line with this goal, WISH is delighted to launch a grant competition to encourage more nurses to engage in healthcare research.  We will be accepting research proposals for projects related to our 2022 summit themes:

  • Sustainability
  • Health in a Post-COVID World
  • Disability
  • Sport and health

More information on screening criteria and funding priorities will be released when applications open on 5th December 2021.

Who can apply?

We encourage nurses at any stage of their career to apply.  While prior research experience is not necessary, applicants should have a clear project proposal which aligns to one of the core WISH 2022 themes.

We will be awarding two grants for a value of up to $5,000 each.  One grant will be reserved for research undertaken and published in Arabic.
