Ovolution is developing testing strips that use menstrual blood to screen for Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome (PCOS), a medical condition affecting up to 1 in 7 women of childbearing age worldwide. Late-diagnosis is a devastating problem with PCOS, with complications ranging from infertility to Type-2 Diabetes. Despite being widespread, most women lack access to PCOS screening, due to barriers including geographical inaccessibility, high cost, and lack of awareness (stigmatization). Our innovation removes these barriers and allows all women to get a screening. Sustainably, the innovation would also revolutionize the Feminine Hygiene Product industry that produces over 200,000-tonnes of plastic waste annually.
