Caviguard

The metered dose dispensing system, CaviGuard, allows one person to treat over 100 people in a day. The medicines used, 38% silver diamine fluoride followed by 5% sodium fluoride varnish, offer a more effective pain free alternative to traditional dentistry that not only stops the growth of existing tooth decay but also prevents its future formation. Treatment can be applied by non-dentists such as nurses, physicians, and dental hygienists, without the need for electricity, expensive equipment, or a dental office. Patients can be treated at the population level using existing public health infrastructure as well as within their own communities.
