The World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) proudly announces the launch of its 2024 Innovation Competition, inviting visionary entrepreneurs and startups to showcase groundbreaking solutions in healthcare. Whether your innovation harnesses cutting-edge technologies like AI and big data or embraces impactful low-tech solutions, we welcome your participation!

Categories and Eligibility:

  • Young Innovators:  an opportunity designed exclusively for health startups led by founders aged 30 years and younger. This initiative seeks to discover, support, and propel forward the next generation of healthcare innovators. We believe that young entrepreneurs hold the key to transformative health solutions, and this competition aims to provide them with a platform to showcase their early-stage startups.
  • Innovation Showcases: tailored for health startups that have moved beyond the ideation phase and established their market presence, albeit for up to five years. This competition celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship in the health sector, providing a stage for startups to exhibit their groundbreaking solutions and business models.

How to Enter:

  • Register your interest to apply for the Innovation Competition before March 30, 2024 and/or apply online through the WISH website before May 30, 2024.

Evaluation criteria:

Our judging committee will assess entries based on impact, novelty, and growth potential.

Prizes:

  • Networking opportunity: Engage directly with likeminded startups, health experts, investors, and local incubation centres.
  • Industry expert sessions: Join conversations with industry experts to learn about marketing, social media, presenting, and pitching to investors.
  • Showcase opportunity: Finalists receive an invitation to showcase their innovations at our 2024 summit in Doha, Qatar. This event brings together healthcare providers, ministers, insurers, investors, and industry experts.
  • Cash prize: A reward for the first-place winner in each category.

  • Competition opening: February 29, 2024
  • Application deadline: May 30, 2024
  • Finalists’ announcement: July / August 2024
  • Summit: November 2024
