This report is targeted towards the private and public sectors and how they should align their individual goals with the greater vision of UHC.

The focus of the WISH research and report on the role of the private sector in healthcare is on how to create more effective, mass-scale collaborations between public and private sector for the delivery of healthcare services needed for UHC. It starts by setting out the business case for private providers – which is big but not necessarily aligned to what much of the sector has traditionally done. The second part of the report describe how governments can create an enabling environment for such ‘UHC ready’ providers, using interview with the leaders of six large public payers in countries pursuing UHC.
