Bright Future: A New Vision for Eye Health

Lenny Naar Andrew Zimmermann Kyra Bobinet Aaron Sklar

This report argues for the need to center patient experience as the ultimate goal of health design and investment and aligning the interests of stakeholders to achieve this goal.

Eliminating the world’s most common causes of eye morbidity has become a challenge due to the change in population and disease demographics, so innovative and sustainable solutions are required. The WISH report uses evidence-based case examples to highlight strategies and programs that have been used to reduce the burden of eye disease through service delivery, education and training, diagnosis and treatment, and policy initiatives. It also highlights recent technological developments impacting eye health, and explore some emerging technologies that have the potential to impact eye health in the future.
