Advancing Gender-Neutral HPV Vaccination in the Region: Insights, Strategies, and Future Directions

HPV vaccination is set to become a part of school-based immunization programs for both girls and boys to reduce HPV-induced cancers. Gulf countries like Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and the UAE have initiated HPV vaccination initiatives to include boys, recognizing the importance of gender-neutral vaccination (GNV) as a key contituent in reducing cancers, starting wtih cervical cancer. This session is centered on the implementation of HPV GNV in the region, specifically the legislation and advovacy efforts towards it.
