AMR: How to Keep Antibiotics Working for The Next Century?
Antimicrobial resistance is recognized as a priority globally, not only by human healthcare leaders, but also by those in animal health, environmental protection, food security, and economic sectors. This panel will assess progress over the last decade in five key areas identified for priority action: awareness, antibiotic conservation, sanitation, hygiene, infection prevention and control, surveillance and monitoring, and research and development. The panel will also provide updated recommendations, exploring opportunities for further action in global citizen engagement, translational science, and policy and regulation.
