H.E. Faisal Mohamed AL-Emadi

Faisal Al-Emadi is the Secretary-General of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) with extensive experience in business administration, operational leadership, and humanitarian action. His commitment to humanitarian work has guided his career. Faisal holds a Master’s in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Marine Transport in Egypt, as well as a diploma in Governmental Leadership from the Qatar Center Leadership. He is currently pursuing a PhD in humanitarian studies at Mohammed V University in Morocco.
Before becoming CEO in January 2022, Faisal was Executive Director of QRCS’ International Relief & Development Sector, where he led global relief initiatives and demonstrated strong leadership in aiding vulnerable communities. Previously, he served as Executive Director of Programs at Silatech from 2016, where he managed the strategic planning, budgeting and program implementation with impressive organizational skill.
From 1999 to 2016, Faisal held government roles in the Ministry of Civil Service Affairs & Housing, the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs, the Ministry of Administrative Development, and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, gaining valuable insights into the social and developmental challenges and reinforcing his commitment to humanitarian causes.
He is a member of several key committees in Qatar, including the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law, the Permanent Committee for Rescue, Relief, and Humanitarian Assistance Operations, and the Civil Defense Council, contributing to disaster preparedness and relief coordination.
In addition to his humanitarian expertise, Faisal is knowledgeable in technology and information systems, especially in systems engineering, which he leverages to improve the QRCS’s operational efficiency.
