Professor Noha A Yousri is an adjunct faculty member at the College of Health and Life Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar, a Professor of Bioinformatics and Machine learning at the department of Computer and Systems Engineering in Alexandria University in Egypt, and formerly an Assistant Professor of Research in Genetic Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (2012-2023). She is an accomplished researcher and professor with extensive experience in bioinformatics, omics data analysis, and precision medicine. Dr. Yousri’s expertise are rooted in her background in computer engineering, with a specialization in machine learning techniques. Her work is notable for its integration of large-scale omics data to uncover novel biomarkers and disease mechanisms, advancing personalized medicine approaches. She authored and co-authored more than 60 publications, some of which are published in Nature and Nature communication journals. She has an h index of 25, I10 index of 35, total citations of 2711. She has received 6 grants from the Qatar National Research Fund between 2017 and 2022 as a Lead Principal Investigator (PI) (2 grants) or Co-PI (4 grants) in different areas of omics association studies. She is also a Co-PI in a Medical Research Council funded project at Bristol University. Additionally, Professor Yousri has introduced graduate and undergraduate bioinformatics and machine learning/pattern recognition courses at the department of computer and systems engineering in Alexandria University.
